A new publication by GAIL APAC Member Steven Moe (previously GAIL APAC Chair and on the GAIL Global Board)

This book helped me reflect on my journey and inspired me to think deeply about how I can align my career with my purpose and values. It also reminded me that I am the leader and driver of my own life and this perspective reignited my excitement for the future.

We’re excited to share a new publication written by one of our GAIL Asia Pacific members, Steven Moe, that we believe will be valuable for the community. Launched on 23 June 2025 as a free download, this reflection offers a thought-provoking exploration into the role of impact, purpose, and meaning in our work and careers.

This piece asks: Is your work just a job, or is it a calling? Drawing from personal experiences, wide reading, and insights gained through more than 440 conversations on the Seeds Podcast, Steven presents a practical and heartfelt framework for integrating impact into the everyday reality of our professional lives. The result is a resource that invites readers to rethink their identity, goals, and understanding of vocation in a fast-changing world.

This document is grounded in real stories and honest reflection. It challenges the common narratives we inherit about success, status, and productivity, and instead helps us see how meaningful, purpose-driven work can transform not just what we do, but who we are. If you’ve ever felt the tension between your values and your job, or you’re seeking to align your career with something deeper, this publication is for you.
