8 May 2025 – Simpler and cleaner – profitable investment opportunities from resource efficiency

10:00-11:00 BST for an online roundtable with Vontobel

While there is little debate renewable energy sources reduce global emissions, the contribution of energy and resource efficiency is frequently underappreciated – its benefits are often less visible and unmeasured.

However, looking at the numbers, efficiency has likely enabled more avoided emissions globally than the renewable power generated over the past decade.

Find out why investing in resource efficiency is critical to tackling climate change and the opportunities available to global equity investors.

21 May 2025 – Circular economy best practice in the industrial goods sector

10:00-11:00 BST for an online roundtable with Stewart Investors

Our current economic system is linear, causing humanity to use resources faster than the Earth’s capacity to regenerate them. The solution is to move to a circular economy, keeping those resources in use as long as possible.

As long-term investors, Stewart Investors find sustainability issues like circularity are integral to how they assess risk and opportunity. Stewart Investors commissioned independent research on best practices in circularity in industrial companies and have used the findings to engage with companies. They have prioritised companies who are early in their circularity journey as they should benefit more than peers from an introduction to best practices.

At this roundtable, speakers Clare Wood and Tyler Thomas of Stewart Investors, will use case studies of companies they work with to showcase best practices in aspects of circularity and explain what they have learned about the practicalities of implementing them.

12 June – Creating impact through public fixed income

08:30-11:30 for an in-person masterclass with Nuveen

Green, social and sustainable (GSS) bonds have experienced stronger and more resilient growth than broad fixed income markets in recent years. Today, GSS bonds are a $5tn global asset class diversified across sectors, geographies and structures1. However, recent political developments in the US have cast a shadow on this market as investors grapple with policies that may stimy the growth of impact bonds.

Nuveen is delighted to host a masterclass in partnership with Pensions for Purpose with Jessica Zarzycki CFA, Portfolio Manager Fixed Income, and Tony Appiah CFA, Client Portfolio Manager. Nuveen will introduce the asset class, describe how it has evolved and present their proprietary approach to investing and measuring impact in public fixed income markets. Learn about new and exciting developments in fixed income including how blended finance and other innovative approaches are catalysing financing into the GSS market.
