I hold an LL.M. degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Class of 2023) and I am currently pursuing an MBA at Oxford Saïd Business School (Class of 2024).
As a seasoned attorney at NISHIMURA & ASAHI in Tokyo, Japan, my practice encompasses a diverse spectrum of corporate law, with a primary emphasis on both domestic and international mergers and acquisitions (M&As), corporate restructuring, joint ventures, equity issuance for publicly listed companies, and a myriad of other corporate affairs.
In recent years, I have directed my attention towards the domain of sustainability practices especially social enterprise and impact investment. In 2023, I actively engaged in a research project commissioned by the Cabinet Office, delving into innovative corporate structures such as Public Benefit Corporations (PBCs) and exploring how they can drive impact in the business world. Moreover, I am an esteemed member of the Global Alliance Impact Lawyers, with a dedicated focus on advancing positive impact in society.
My ardor lies in delivering sophisticated legal solutions that seamlessly align with the ever-evolving terrain of the business world while also fostering positive social and environmental change. I consistently seek fresh challenges and opportunities for professional growth, particularly in the realm of responsible and sustainable finance.
