Trained as an attorney, I help businesses navigate the risks and opportunities of the sustainability agenda. This means articulating the business case for ESG within an organisation and decoding its impact in the day-to-day. Through listening, collaboration and continuous learning, I develop a deep and balanced appreciation for the varied perspectives and motivations of an organisation’s stakeholders, and endeavour to offer solutions and upskilling designed to build consensus for a sustainability transformation.
My experience guiding business leaders towards a robust and compelling ESG strategy has made me a thought leader in sustainability with publishing credits and invitations to speak at global leadership conferences, seminars and summits including Impact International, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Legal ESG Summits in London and New York City, University College London, Fordham Law School, and numerous law firms including Clifford Chance, Weightmans, Herbert Smith Freehills, ENS Africa, Webber Wentzel and DAC Beachcroft.
As a Teaching Fellow (FHEA), I have developed and delivered courses on ESG and Sustainability to thousands of master’s and bachelor’s business students. Employing a Socratic teaching style to elicit responses and ideas is a technique I also use effectively when working with Corporate Boards.
My work as a commercial litigation attorney in Dallas, Texas provided a broad understanding of the corporate landscape and a rigorous approach to the research and due diligence I bring to my gap analysis and strategy development for clients. I hold degrees in Law and English Literature and a Certificate in Sustainable Business Management from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. And, as a citizen of the UK, EU and US, and London-based for 16 years, I offer a truly global perspective.
