Simon is a New Zealand and Australia-admitted international lawyer. He is a Teaching Fellow (Law) and PhD candidate at the Law Faculty, Victoria University of Wellington (NZ). After reading for his first two law degrees in Australia, Simon completed an LLM in Global Environmental Law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in New York (USA) (ranked as America’s/the world’s best law school for environmental law). He also graduated with an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge (UK), a Master’s in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford (UK), and obtained further postgraduate law and policy qualifications from UC Berkeley, Stanford University, and Harvard Law School (USA). Simon previously worked in legal practice globally, advising the UN, multi-international companies, legal NGOs, the judiciary, governments, and leading international law firms.
