Omonigho is an energy and climate finance lawyer with over a decade of experience advising on the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects across Africa.
In her current role, she advises Persistent, an energy and climate focused venture capital firm, on all legal and regulatory matters relating to its portfolio investments across Africa. She also provides legal support to Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion for Africa, a foundation established by KfW to support rural household electrification in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition to her legal expertise, she actively works to shape global energy transition and climate policies through various policy contributions.
She is currently a member of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Expert Advisory Group for Power Sector Standards Development and the Expert Working Group on Ongoing emissions and BVCM for the Corporate Net-Zero Standard Version 2.0. She also previously served as a member of the Continuous Improvement Work Program of the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market where she contributed to discussions on the proposed improvements to the ICVCM Core Carbon Principles and Assessment Framework.
