She is the Pro bono Director of Hogan Lovells Mexico´s offices and also leads the firm’s corporate social responsibility strategy, in accordance with the firm’s policies and guidelines at the international level and in line with the SDGs.
She is an impact lawyer. She specialises in advising various non-profit organisations, micro-entrepreneurs and purpose-driven companies on different legal challenges. She has worked on various researches for the promotion of legislation of benefit and collective interest companies, as well as other triple impact companies in Mexico, and on other legal analyses for non-profits.
She has been successful in the development of strategic programmes in the areas of pro bono, community impact, operational sustainability, diversity and inclusion, fundraising and well-being.
Lila has been a driving force behind the pro bono activities in the country and in Latin America. Since 2018, she and three other women have created the Pro bono Mexico Standards in Mexico. She currently co-directs Pro bono Standards Mexico.
She is also an advisor to Make a Wish Mexico, to Centro Mexicano Pro bono, to GAIL LATAM for Mexico and to the Pro Bono Council of Trustlaw (the pro bono programme of the Thomson Reuters Foundation). She is also Vice President of the Corporate Social Responsibility Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce Mexico.
