Ed is a Managing Associate in the sustainable and impact finance team at Addleshaw Goddard. His practice involves advising on complex financing transactions designed to have a positive impact on environments, societies and economies, and he has broad experience across banking, private credit, structured finance and debt capital markets. He has a particular interest in advising clients working in emerging and frontier markets internationally, or addressing regional inequalities in the United Kingdom. From 2020 to 2024 he was senior legal counsel at the British Business Bank, the UK Government’s economic development bank, where he advised on warehousing, SRT, securitisation and structured guarantee transactions designed to support the UK’s economic growth and improve access to finance for smaller businesses. He began his career at a major international law firm, advising sovereign governments and emerging markets corporates on finance and capital markets transactions. He is an author for the CFA Institute’s Certificate in Impact Investing.
