Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik is a corporate, ESG and impact lawyer, international social entrepreneur, impact investor and policy expert with over 25 years of professional experience across various multidisciplinary sectors such as global business law, M&A, startups, fund structuring, sustainability and impact entrepreneurship. She is Founder of AFMalik Law (Pakistan), Seplaa Group Inc. (Canada) and the Seplaa Global Impact Network (SGIN), which work in impact law, sustainability, global business and governance in Pakistan, Canada, US and Middle East.
As Founder Principal Attorney of AFMalik Law, she became the first social enterprise and impact lawyer of Pakistan in 2018 focusing on social enterprise law, ESG and Sustainable Business Models & Strategy development for her global clients.
She has spoken as a technical expert at international conferences in Toronto, London, New York, Singapore, Turkey, UK, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Iraq and Nepal at institutions and organizations such as The Canada Prosperity Project, Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, LSE, New York University, ICIMOD, Asian Development Bank Urban Development Resilience Accelerator, Asia Pacific Adaptation Network’s Climate Change Adaptation Forum, UNEP, USAID and the Hollings Centre for International Development.
She was one of the founding board members of the GAIL APAC board in 2020 and has been the GAIL Asia Pacific Board Chair from 2023-2025. Currently she is a GAIL APAC Board member.
