Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik is a Pakistani corporate and impact lawyer, international social entrepreneur, development and policy expert with over 25 years of professional experience across various multidisciplinary sectors such as academia, Law, social entrepreneurship, development, gender and green infrastructure development. She is Founder of AFMalik Law (Pakistan), Seplaa Group Inc. (Canada) and the Seplaa Global Impact Network (SGIN), which work in impact law, international development, business, immigration and the education sectors in Pakistan and Canada.
As Founder Principal Attorney of AFMalik Law- Attorneys & International Development Consultants, she is also the first social enterprise and impact lawyer of Pakistan focusing on ESG, Business & Human Rights and Sustainable Business Models & Strategy development for her clients.
She has spoken as a legal and social enterprise expert at international conferences at New York, Singapore, Turkey, UK, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Iraq and Nepal at institutions and organizations such as New York University, ICIMOD, Asian Development Bank Urban Development Resilience Accelerator, Asia Pacific Adaptation Network’s Climate Change Adaptation Forum, UNEP, USAID and the Hollings Centre for International Development.
She is author of several books including ‘Building Bridges through Social Enterprises’ and completed her Doctorate in Business Administration from BSN Netherlands, focusing on ‘Sustainable Business Strategies for Social Enterprises in Developing Countries- A Focus on Law, Policy and Gender for Climate Action’.
