Alberta is a 12-year PQE maritime lawyer specialising in non-contentious ship finance matters as well as in shipping dispute resolution. She is a Board Member of GAIL’s European Board, and works at the Paris office of Stephenson Harwood, a law firm with a heritage in maritime matters, which is now a โfull serviceโ firm with offices in various jurisdictions.
Albertaโs areas of interest include ESG and the decarbonisation of the industry, and how this transition may be just and equitable. Alberta is native Italian, from Venice, and dual-qualified in England and Ireland, and registered as a European lawyer under her title of origin with the Hauts-de-Seine bar in France. Alberta is also involved as a Mentor in acceleration programs supporting the development of innovative projects in the field of sustainability, with a particular focus on ocean sustainability. Alberta is qualified as a Blueinvest Coach and recent experience includes mentoring startups for MITdesignX Venice, the Venture Accelerator for Venice of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)โs School of Architecture and Planning.
