She spent her career supporting ambitious social entrepreneurs in growing their businesses, making investing more sustainable and inclusive, and reshaping the legal profession to serve the transformation of our economies.
She served as the first general counsel of Fairphone, a leading Dutch tech social enterprise. Guiding its growth from inception to over €50 million in fundraising has provided invaluable insights into the challenges of scaling and funding sustainable entrepreneurship.
As a Co-Founder of the Legal Innovation for Sustainable Investments (LISI) Foundation, she has been dedicated to advancing legal models for sustainable investments. LISI’s work includes creating the open-source Impact Term Sheet, recognised with the 2023 Dutch Legal Awards prize, which aims to facilitate more impactful equity investments worldwide.

Vivien is a partner and head of Asset Management & ESG at Dentons Hong Kong. She has more than 20 years’ experience with a deep and broad focus in the areas of asset management, diverse forms of investment funds across asset classes and structures, retail funds and privately placed funds, investments in public markets, private equity, real estate and alternative investments. Vivien also has extensive corporate and commercial experience in the financial institutions and financial services sectors, having advised on numerous strategic joint ventures, inbound and outbound mergers & acquisitions, and related legal and regulatory matters for cross-border financial markets access, investments and platform building.
In recent years, Vivien is market-leading in having developed a unique focus in her practice on corporate and regulatory issues around environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), sustainable finance, responsible investment, impact investing and social finance. Throughout her career, Vivien has been involved in many pioneering transactions and projects. Most recently, Vivien was named Thought Leader of the Year, North Asia at the ALB Women in Law Awards 2021. She has also received commendations by Asialaw profiles for three consecutive years (2018 to 2020) as a leading lawyer for the practice areas of investment funds and corporate M&A, and is listed by China Business Law Journal in the 2020 and 2021 A-List Elite 100 foreign lawyers for China practice. Prior to joining Dentons, Vivien was founder and managing partner of Vivien Teu & Co LLP, a Hong Kong firm with established reputation and accolades in the areas of investment funds, banking & finance, financial services, regulatory, private equity, private equity funds, private client and wealth management.

Nicholas’s main practice area focuses primarily on private M&As with a specific emphasis on private equity, joint venture and venture capital work. He regularly acts for venture capital investors, corporate venture capital arms and startups.
Chambers Asia-Pacific notes that Nicholas “acts as transaction counsel for a range of startups and venture capital investors, including advising on both early and later-stage investments”. Clients have noted that Nicholas “provided us with an incredibly high level of service, calibrated his service to our goals and needs, and worked collaboratively with opposing counsel to reach good results”.
Nicholas has been recognised as a Band 5 practitioner in the Startups & Emerging Companies category for Singapore by Chambers Asia-Pacific, and a Next Generation Partner in the Start-up and Venture Capital – Local Firms category for Singapore by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. Co-head of LeapFrog Investment’s Asian financial services team
Fernanda is a Partner and Co-head of LeapFrog’s Asian financial services team, responsible for originating investments and driving value and growth across the firm’s diverse portfolio. She has over 20 years of experience in private equity, since joining AIG Global Investment Group in London in 2002. From 2008, she focuses on Asia by taking an active management approach. Her team works to grow or turn around inclusive finance institutions across the region, making them attractive to strategics and capital markets.
Fernanda joined LeapFrog from Developing World Markets, a US-based pioneer and a sizable impact asset manager, where she was Managing Director. She invested and managed private equity investments for two funds . Her portfolio companies has spread across Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam and she has held Board seats and leadership roles managing diverse teams, Boards and senior staff.
She holds a Master of Science in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and a Master in Business Administration from the University of London (Imperial College). She was a British Chevening Scholar (funded by the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office) and speaks three languages. Fernanda has worked in four continents and moved to Singapore in 2013, where she lives with her husband and three sons.
