Join us for a compelling session on a pioneering climate initiative that’s setting a new standard for the legal profession. “A New Climate Solution for Law Firms: Lessons from the SCGV/Legal Charter 1.5 Collaboration” will explore how eight leading UK law firms came together to fund a high-impact carbon offsetting project focused on restoring soil health and water retention in Kenya’s Mau Forest watershed.

Facilitated by Legal Charter 1.5 and implemented through SCGV, this collaborative platform represents a first for the legal sector—pooling offset budgets to drive greater environmental and social outcomes, including benefits for children. This innovative model offers a scalable, replicable framework for private-sector climate funding.

The session will delve into the details of the project, as well as what convinced law firms to get involved, the barriers they faced, and how they overcame them, offering valuable lessons for legal professionals seeking credible, impactful climate solutions.
