Drop-in session for GAIL members, hosted by GAIL Africa, with members from all regions welcome.

Please join us online to meet your fellow members. It’s an opportunity to share updates on recent work, discuss potential collaborations and highlight developments in impact law. We are keen to hear from you with anything that you would like to discuss.

This session will focus on how lawyers across Africa are embedding impact into their practice, exploring the opportunities, challenges and different approaches emerging across jurisdictions. Through an informal discussion, our hosts will share their experiences before opening the conversation to participants to exchange ideas, ask questions and discuss how impact law is evolving across the continent.

We will be joined by

• Tiago Arouca Mendes, Chair of the GAIL Africa Regional Board and Managing Partner, MDR Advogados (Morais Leitão Legal Circle), Mozambique;
• Prince Osisiadan, CEO, SUCCA Africa Ltd, Ghana; and
• Jessica Blumenthal, Executive, ENS, South Africa.

Together, they bring expertise spanning cross-border corporate law, ESG and sustainability, and commercial legal practice, and will share perspectives on how impact law is evolving across different African jurisdictions and sectors.

This is an interactive session rather than a presentation, and members are encouraged to bring their own questions, experiences and perspectives to the discussion.
