Toru Takiguchi is the founding partner of Ushigomebashi Law Offices in Tokyo, a firm built to serve social enterprises, nonprofits, and companies that take their social responsibility seriously. Admitted in Japan in 2009, he advises on corporate and M&A matters, employment, compliance, and AI and data protection, bringing commercial legal capability to mission-driven organisations. He is a member of BLP-Network, a pro bono network of Japanese lawyers supporting the nonprofit sector, and has served as auditor or director of a number of nonprofit and public-interest organisations in Japan.
